I am the founding Editor-in-Chief of a print fashion magazine in collaboration with and with generous support from the Cambridge University Charity Fashion Show (CUCFS) and The Cambridge Student (TCS). All proceeds go to Wintercomfort, the chosen charity of CUCFS.
The concept of the charity fashion show was ‘LOST IN BETWEEN’. With the magazine, I aimed to convey the creative director’s concept with show notes, but also to explore the theme through fashion writing: with articles about navigating personal identity, embracing ambiguity in style, and interviews with the featured designers about how they interpret the theme. Read an interview about my vision here.
In addition, I produced and creative directed editorial photoshoots for the magazine in collaboration with Disruption Creative Ltd. We interpreted the three stages of the show, producing photos with 3 distinct concepts and aesthetics intended for both social media marketing and full-page features in the magazine. See below for the editorial photos:
Stage One: The Scholar and the Student
Stage Two: The Adult and the Child
Stage Three: Everything and Nothing
The magazine took 8 weeks to create from start to finish and was an exhilarating feat. It is, in a way, a love letter to the inspiring creativity I was lucky enough to encounter at Cambridge.Thank you to everyone for their collaboration and contributions.
